CASSATT – Funeral service for Lela Mae Hough, 86, will be held on Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Cassatt Baptist Church. The Rev. Paul Goff will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral home, Lugoff. Mrs. Hough wife of the late James Romanow, passed away on March 9, 2018. Born in Bishopville, she was the daughter of the late Kirvin and Elizabeth White McCathern. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family. Surviving are her daughters, Norma J. Crosby of Sumter, and Mary Jo Smith (Steve) of Summerville; son, Joel T. Hough of Cassatt; brothers, Herbert McCathern (Pat) of Lucknow and Donald McCathern (Debra) of Camden; sister, Shirley Privette (Cecil) of Cassatt; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Joel A. Hough; granddaughter, Lisa Hough; 7 brothers; and 1 sister. The family extends a special thanks to Patricia Hough, Debbie Grey, Danny Knisely, Michelle Smith Torres and Shirley Privette for their loving care.
