ELGIN – A time of gathering to celebrate the life of Kirk Michael Gough, 50, will be held Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Mr. Gough passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018. Born in Kansas, he was a son of Mary Lou Springer Gough and the late Mac Kirk Gough. Mr. Gough received a Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering and was employed in IT at Invista. He enjoyed reading, golfing, working with computers, and video games. Surviving are his wife, Stephanie Trahan Gough; children, Jeanice Knockum of Dallas TX, Jordan Knockum (Melissa) of North Fort Myers, FL; brother, Geoff Gough (Christy) of New Braunfels, TX; grandchildren, Jordan, Jr., Madelyn, and Jalen Knockum; nieces, Chrisanna, Vivian, and Naomi Gough; and a nephew, William Gough.
