ELGIN – A Celebration of Life service for Harold Pawnee Scott, Jr., 73, will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Harmony Baptist Church with inurnment to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The Rev. Dan Griffin will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harmony Baptist Church, Men’s Ministry. Mr. Scott passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018. Born in Louisiana, he was a son of the late Harold Pawnee Scott, Sr. and Eugene and Juanita McGraw Towers. Mr. Scott was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed cooking and taking care of his queen, Suzanne. Harold was the most gentle and kindest man. He was loved by anyone that knew him and was quite the comedian and always would make people laugh. Surviving are his wife, Suzanne Pritt Scott; daughters, Dawn Swaney (Chad) of Elgin, Heather Valentine (Lance) of West Columbia; a sister, Zona Sable (Jerome) of Brunswick, OH; and grandchildren, Madison Swaney, Aaron Valentine and Austin Valentine.
