CAMDEN – Funeral service for Coley McKenzie Jr., 71, will be held on Friday at 3:00 p.m. at the Camden First Church of the Nazarene with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. The Rev. David Snodgrass and the Rev. Amanda Watts will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Theil-Meyer Animal Adoption Center. Mr. McKenzie passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018. Born on August 6, 1946 in Camden, he was the son of the late Coley McKenzie Sr. and Frances Brown McKenzie. He retired from DuPont. He enjoyed wood working, gardening, camping, cooking, riding his tractor and was a “shopaholic”. Surviving is his high school sweetheart and wife of 51 years, Sharon Baker McKenzie. He was also the loving father of the following children, Tammy Bowers (Joe) of Camden, Coley “Trey” McKenzie III (Tina) of Camden, and Tonya Melton (Brian) of Camden; and grandchildren, Joe Bowers (Sy), Tyler Bowers, Coley “Lee” McKenzie IV, Dalton McKenzie, and Mackenzie Melton.
