CAMDEN – Funeral service for Russell B. Bowdoin, 86, will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Carolina Memorial Gardens in North Charleston. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Keith Coates will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to KershawHealth Hospice. Mr. Bowdoin, husband of the late Nancy Johnson Bowdoin, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018. Born in Juliette, GA, on February 13, 1932, he was the son of the late Gip Bowdoin and Mabel Johnson Bowdoin. Surviving are his children, Ervin Bowdoin and Sherian Medley; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Helen Moulds Bowdoin; son, Alan Bowdoin; siblings, Charles Bowdoin, Lewis Glenn Bowdoin, Virginia Willard, and Jack Bowdoin.
