CAMDEN – A funeral service for JoAnn A. Dabney, 79, will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Dekalb Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11am – 12pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Mrs. Dabney passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. Born on June 3, 1938 in Camden, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Oscar Anderson and Marie Gardner Anderson. She loved her church and was an avid Clemson fan. Joann was a loving mother and grandmother. Surviving is her son, Tim Dabney of Camden; daughter, DeeDee Cannon (Jeff) of Camden; grandchildren, Jared, Adam, Travis, and Clay Jowers. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Dabney; son, Chuck Dabney; and sisters, Frances Owens and Mabel Rabon.
