CHERAW – Funeral service for James Edgar “Ed” Myers, Jr., 62, will be held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Zion Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Missions Fund at Palmetto St. Church of God at pscog.org or to Powers Funeral Home for final expenses. Mr. Myers passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. Born in Camden, S.C. on March 20, 1956 he was the son of the late James E. Myers, Sr. and Mary Catherine Capell Wescott. He was a member of Palmetto Street Church of God, Florence, S.C. Ed enjoyed golfing and traveling. He liked to play his acoustic guitar and sing. Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Michelle Myers; daughter, Lillie Myers; sister, Sarah Jackson (Ron); nephews, Stephen Team and Luke Williams; and nieces, Leigh Williams Reed and Catherine Nunn. He was predeceased by his brother, Jeffrey Myers; sister, Debbie Myers Nunn; and nephew, Les Kelley.
