ELGIN – Funeral service for Terry Lynn Chappell, 57, formerly of Surgoinsville, Tenn., will be Saturday at 5:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Ken Jackson will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Mr. Chappell passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. Born in Kingsport, Tenn., he was the son of Ruby Horne Chappell and the late Herbert Lee Chappell, Jr. Surviving are his mother, Ruby Chappell of Elgin; brothers, Tony Chappell (Renee) and Herbie Chappell (Leslie); and sisters, Tammy Hayes and Susie Pharr.
