RIDGEWAY – Funeral service for Jasper Culpard Thompson, 80, will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Ridgeway Ward with burial to follow in Centerville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Mr. Thompson passed away at home on Saturday, June 2, 2018. Born in the Ashewood Community, he was the son of the late Charlie Jasper and Selma Arinthia Christmas Thompson. He was a painter and enjoyed auto mechanic work. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Rebecca Eloise Branham Thompson; children, Randy Thompson of Elgin, Angela Scully of Middleburg, Fla., Elvis Thompson (Karen) of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Debra Duit of Layfette, Ga., and Emily Beeson(Chad) of Orangevale, Calif.; sisters, Viola LaSarge of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and Betty Levy Bass of Douglasville, Ga.; brother, Edward Thompson o Cartersville, Ga.; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
