REMBERT – Funeral Service for Ethel P. Cook, 71, will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Broom Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Ethel Mae Cook passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. Born in Boykin, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Powell Sr. and Josephine Dennis Powell. Surviving are her children, Valerie Cauthen (Donald), Stacey Cooke, Charlie Cooke (Robbin), Wanda Cooke, and Gloria Jones (Lawrence); siblings, Josephine Porter, LC Powell, Sr., Cynthia Rennick, Laura Stukes and Rose Gillie; grandchildren, Felicia Dinkins, Veronica Cauthen, Shane Payne, Marcus Payne, Latevia Payne, Charlesia Cooke, Brice Richardson, Lauren Richardson, Jarvis Cooke, Kenquanda Cooke, Xavieonna Fletcher, Cameron Jones, Laniya Jones and Lawerence Jones III; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Teresa McCray; and brother, Ernest Powell Jr.
