CASSATT – Funeral service for Daniel Clyde “Danny” Gaskins, 53, will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Gaskins Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Danny passed away at home surrounded by his family on Friday, June 22, 2018. Born in Bishopville, he was the son of the late William Joseph “W.J.” Gaskins, Jr. and Sarah Louise Croft Gaskins. He enjoyed wrestling, playing pool, singing, going to church and listening to music. Surviving are his sisters, Janet Hinson of Jacksonville, Fla., Beverly Bradley of Camden, Barbara Campbell (William) of Lugoff, Dianne Bass (Shelborn) of Kershaw, and Brenda Armentrout (Randy) of Cassatt; brother, Terry Gaskins (Sandra) of Jayess, Miss; 19 nieces and nephews; 36 great-nieces and nephews; and 3 great great-nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Ann Ray; and brother, Ron Gaskins. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Lorene Jeffcoat and MSA Hospice for their care and support.
