ELGIN – Funeral service for Charles Alton Stewart, 71, will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Bishopville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mr. Stewart passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018. Born in Hartsville, he was the son of Retus McCaskill Stewart and the late Joseph Stewart. He enjoyed riding horses and fishing. Surviving are sons, Shawn C. Stewart and Charles Stewart Jr.; daughter, Amanda Stewart; step-son, Luther Maldonado;; sister, Emily Gale Davis (Keith); granddaughter, Alexandrea Stewart; and 4 step-grandchildren, Micheal, Justin, Haley, Samantha Maldonado.
