GASTON – Funeral services for Kevin Eugene Cox, Sr., 42, will be held Friday at 6:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Trey Warren will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5-6 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Powers Funeral Home to assist with final expenses. Mr. Cox passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018. Born in Kissimmee, FL, he was a son of the late Marie King Willock. Mr. Cox worked on cell phone towers and will always be a tower dog. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Surviving are his wife and companion of 26 total years, Sandy Witt Cox; children, Brittney Nicole Witt-Faile (William) of Gaston, Kevin E. Cox II of West Columbia, Alyssa Marie Cox of Gaston; grandchildren, Ayden and Adam Faile; and a brother, Bryan Cox (Gwen) of Swansea. He was predeceased by a sister, Karen Cox and a brother, John Wayne Cox.
