Sending love to Jean's family. I met Jean and Gene when I was a little girl - my mother, Mary Coble Allred and Jean were cousins. Her mother Blanche and my grandmother Nell were sisters. Serendipitously, my daughter was doing some family research and found a copy of Jean's book about her mother ("The Watered Garden") online on Monday of this week. It was a joy to read it again after many years. I wondered if Jean was still alive. Then just this morning, my daughter found Jean's obituary and sent it to me. I have been sitting with many memories this morning, and I smiled knowing that Jean has now joined her beloved family in Heaven. She blessed this world by her presence. It gave me peace and comfort this morning to have "connected" with her again.
