ELGIN – Services for Paul Roy Cook, 68, will be private. Memorials may be made to The Warrior Walk Project. Mr. Cook passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Frank and Ruby Goodwin Cook. He served in the United States Marine Corp and enjoyed fishing. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Brenda Stallings Cook; daughter, Libby Jones of Columbia; son, Charlie Cook (Kimberly) of Camden; brothers, Charles Cook (Ellen) of Lexington and Bobby Goodwin (Sally) of Pelion; 5 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Paul Cook Jr.; brothers, Frank Cook and Brian Cook; and sister, Frances Sightler.
