ELGIN – Funeral service for Charles W. “Shuddie” Branham, 78, will be held on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mr. Branham passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. Born in Blaney, he was the son of the late James and Maude Sanders Branham. He retired from DuPont where he was a manager. Mr. Branham was a member of Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church. He enjoyed horse racing, drag racing, NASCAR, and shooting pool. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Betty Coleman Branham; son, Mike Branham (Melissa) of Elgin; sister, Donnell Stockman (Bobby) of Elgin; grandson, Mikey Branham (fiancé Carly Duda); brother-in-law, Ray Coleman; nieces and nephews, Mark Branham, Clayton “Bubba” Branham, Robert Stockman, Kim Kirkland, Colette Kennedy, Nikki Branham, Jessica Coleman and Jennifer Coleman. He was predeceased by a brother, Bobby “Roosie” Branham; and niece, Bobbie “Beebop” Branham.
