REMBERT – Funeral service for Samuel L. Grant, 90, will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church. A service will also be held on Tuesday at Anderson Funeral Service in Brunswick, N.J. with burial to follow in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Grant, husband of the late Rebecca Brown Grant, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013. Born in Boykin, S.C., he was the son of the late James and Gertrude Pollard Grant. Surviving are his children, Samuel P. Grant, Kenneth Grant, Michael Grant, Donald Grant, Rodney Grant, Ilene Darby, Beverly Grant and Evette Greene; brother, James Grant; sisters, Mary Stukes, Rev. Nellie Stewart and Elease Grant; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Walter Grant, Frank D. Grant and Jesse McRae; and sister, Ella Grant.
