I would like to convay our sincere condolences to your family. Sandy was a gift from God himself to my grandson,Gilliam. I met her a few years ago. She was his assident last year at Lugoff Elem. Sandy was able to bring him out of his shell and enabled him to engage in activities with other children his own age. His heart was broken when he heard of her passing, but because of her and her loving and caring nature and the things she was able to teach him, he is handling it and expressing his feelings instead of closing up inside of himself. May god bless all of you and help you through tis time of sorrow. I know from my dealings with her how much she loved and believed in her family. She will be greatly missed by all of us.

Katy,
I can't begin to tell you how shocked I was to hear of your mothers passing. I always tried to keep up with what you were doing and your mom always tried to keep me up to date on what you were doing as well. Please know that I am thinking of you and your family at this very difficult time. Take care of yourself and try to stay strong. God will look over you and keep you in his arms. Love. Theresa Malaga

Roger, I was struck with sorrow to hear about Sandy. I am so sorry for you – I pray that God will fill your family with His peace and that you will find comfort in the memories with which you have been blessed. Sandy and I had so many fun times for those years that we went to USC together. She talked non-stop all the way there and all the way back each day. She was such a great cheerleader for her family and friends. She always had such encouraging things to say, and she was always ready to talk to me about her children and her dreams.
May God’s arms of Grace envelope you all.

We live at the end ot the street from Sandra and Roger. My daughter and I would walk our dogs down our street and stopped to talk to Sandra. She was always out there with her grandsons. You could always count on Sandra supporting our school fundraisers. We will miss seeing and talking to her. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Sandy was a wonderful person who loved children. I first met her in a ladies' Sunday School class at Lugoff First Baptist. I then went on to work as a Special Services secretary for the school district where I talked to Sandy many times on the phone. She was loved by many, including me. She wanted my husband, Bob, to look at her trees on her family farm and then go to the Gold Nugget, which we never got to do. She will be greatly missed.
