ELGIN - Funeral service for Sara M. Watts, 85, will be held Tuesday 2:00 p.m. at Union Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Doug Whitfield and Rev Jerry Lewis will officiate. Pallbearers will be Dale Hornsby, Daryl Watts, Luke Watts, Jason Shiver, Dennis Tarkington, and Billy Tarkington. The family will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Mrs. Watts, wife of the late Hampton W. Watts, died Saturday, March 14, 2009. Born in Blaney, she was a daughter of the late Robert M. and Lottie Grigsby McKay. She was a member of Union Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Wade H. and Mildred Watts of Elgin; daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanette W. and Gary Hornsby of Elgin, and Wanda W. and Ronnie Howell of Elgin; brother, Wayne McKay of Jacksonville, Fla.; sisters, Janie Smith of Camden, Francis Latham of Hillard, Fla., Thelma Aires of Jacksonville, Fla., and Ellen Weaver of Jacksonville, Fla.; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sisters, Margaret McKay, Betty Tarkington, and Bertha Troville; and a grandson, Wayne Munn.
