LUGOFF-Funeral service for Lindsay Brazell, 71, will be held Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at Spears Creek Baptist Church, Elgin, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Paul Stephens will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to Spears Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 116 Spears Creek Road, Elgin, S.C. 29045. Mr. Brazell died Saturday, April 4, 2009. Born in Richland County, he was a son of the late Jessie and Louvenia Coleman Brazell. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Carpentry Local Union #1778. He was an avid outdoorsman. Mr. Brazell was a member of Spears Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Tivie Mae Martin Brazell; son, Kenneth W. (Tammie) Brazell; brothers, Leroy (Evelyn) Brazell, Edward (Jennifer) Brazell, Gene Brazell, Paul (Amy) Brazell, Lonnie (Virgie) Brazell, and James Brazell; sister, Margie (Marcel, Sr.) Glock; and grandchildren, Cameron A. (Whitney) Brazell, and Caleb W. Brazell. He was predeceased by granddaughter, Brooke Nicole Brazell; sister, Ruby Meetze; and brothers, Melvin Brazell, Rufus Brazell, and Jessie Brazell, Jr.
