ELGIN - A memorial service for Charles Edward Divers, Sr., 54, will be held Friday at 4:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Rev. Greg Sweet and Rev. Jimmy Steen will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross. Mr. Divers died Monday April 27, 2009. Born in Baltimore, Md., he was a son of Rosa Walston Divers and the late George Lloyd Divers, Sr. Mr. Divers enjoyed playing Pool and was a member of American Pool Association. He was an avid outdoorsmen and loved spending time with his family and friends. Surviving are his mother of Westminster, Md.; sons, Patrick E. Divers, Benjamin Divers, and Charles E. Divers, Jr.; brothers, George Lloyd Divers, Jr., and Howard Divers; and sisters, Darlene Warner and Arlene Mizer.
