LUGOFF - A memorial service for Tracey Leigh Poteat, 42, will be held Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Rev. Todd Horton will officiate. Memorials may be made to the SPA. Tracey died Friday, September 11, 2009. Born in Whiteville, N.C., she was a daughter of William Howard Poteat and Patsy P. Capps. She is survived by her father, William Howard Poteat of Lugoff and step-mother, Brenda Poteat of Elgin; mother, Patsy Capps and her husband, Wayne of Belmont, N.C.; children, Alexandria Lopez of Lugoff, Nicholas Reece of Columbia, and Kimberly Reece of Columbia; sister, Angelica Poteat of Columbia; grandson, Daniel Parrish; uncle, Hallas Lake and wife, Sherry Gibson; aunts, Joyce Weant, Nylah Schenk, Sue Sanderson, and Helen Trussel; nephews, Christopher Greene, Andrew Goodwin, and Matthew Curry; niece, Taylor Curry; cousin Misty Hinson; special friend, Oliver Wright of Bozeman, Mont; and father of her children, Michael Reece of Columbia. She was predeceased by paternal grandparents, W.T. and Hazel Poteat; and maternal grandparents, Hollas and Thelma Gibson.
