I don't think I ever met my uncle Fred but I can tell by everything I've read, he was a wonderful man. I'm sorry for all those that were close to him. He has reunited with his brother Walt( my dad), and some day I will see them again.

From Anita's pal in Florida. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting your Dad, I would like to thank him for saving Anita all those years ago. She brings sunshine in my life and I hurt for her in her loss. Her daughter Laura is also a very special person and because of the kind of people they are, I know Mr. Barrowcliff had to have been a fine man . The entire family, including Martin, is in my thoughts and prayers at this dfficult time.

I didn't know your daddy but we have talked about what a great man he was on several occassions. No matter what anyone else says, you know what you and your daddy had together and what a great person he was. So hold that close to your heart and know that he is at peace now until you meet again. I love you Amy.

My dad was a good, honest man, but certainly not very well educated. He always
argued that hot water froze faster than cold water and deer antlers tell age of
deer. Both are totally incorrect but he still believed things like that.
He also believed he was obligated to support his family, so we never went hungry
despite many sacrifices. That was honorable behavior.
I watched as my dad saved my sister from certain death after being hit by a car.
He seemed to know what to do instinctively, and got her to the hospital fast.
She recovered and has every reason to be thankful for that today.
My dad also endured years of my mother's mental illness without complaint. His
last moments probably resulted during some arcane dispute over nothing.
He is gone now and I am only sorry for one thing. I can't pay him for the bet we
made 20 years ago and he just won. He died before me.
Goodbye daddy; I will miss you. I owe you $5.

Daddy, I'm so glad you are finally at rest. You worked so hard your whole life, mostly pleasing others and supporting your family. You were the best father any girl could have. I have always been grateful that you were the one who saved my life in that horrible car accident, and also quickly pulled me to shore from the cracking ice that cold winter's day. I have always loved you and always will. You will be in my heart forever. I will miss your strong hands and warm heart, and look forward to seeing you again one day in heaven.

Daddy, you will forever be in my heart, and in my memories. My earliest days of our time spent together are the happiest, and best times any daughter could carry with her. You will remain in my heart and my thoughts as long as I live. I will miss you so very much, and our time spent. I can't wait to see you again someday.
