CAMDEN - Funeral service for Ronald Gordon Johnson, 64, will be held Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Rev. Burch Kelly will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 647 Lachicotte Road, Lugoff, S.C. 29078. Mr. Johnson died Tuesday, January 26, 2010. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Fred Vance and Dorothy Cox Johnson. He enjoyed fishing and football. Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Lenora Carroll Johnson; step-children, Sheila Kelley (Roy) of Camden, Deborah Boyd (Roger) of Graniteville, Linda Sledge (Bobby) of Lexington, Peggy Spivey (Martha) of Camden, Tammy Lewis (J.P.) of Columbia, and Teresa Kelley (Leslie) of Camden; brother, Richard T. Johnson (Teresa) Lexington; 12 step-grandchildren; 10 step great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by step-son, Ralph Spivey, Jr.; and brother, Reginald V. Johnson.
