I came to know Mike, Danica and Laken when they were patients of Dr. Ward in Hartsville. They came to the office a couple of times after moving to Camden. After Danica got sick she would call the office to give us an update. She always had a positive attitude that things would work out. I remember talking with Mike about the things that he wanted to do with his life. His positive attitude impressed me. When Danica passed away my heart was broken and sad for Mike and Laken,, When I heard about Mike I once again was heartbroken and sad. How much more can Laken endure? I know the Lord has reasons for all things. I will continue to pray that the Lord will give the family comfort and strength during this very difficult time.

It was really nice to run into Mike and Laken a few weeks ago at the gym. I hadn't seen him but a couple of times since highschool and it was great to catch up. I had not heard about his many trials during the short time since we had graduated. He is indeed in a better place. It seemed he had his life together and that he was truly happy. I am so sorry for the many heartaches your family has had to endure and I will pray for your peace of heart and mind.

I want to express my deepest sympathy to you all during the passing of Mike. I had never met Mike but I did talk with him on the telephone when Danica was sick. Danica and Mike were wonderful people. My heart goes out to you all. Laken has gone through so much in the past few months. God will watch over her and take good care of her. Danica and Mike are both her Guardian Angels. If there is anything that I can do please let me know. Mike will be forever in our hearts along with Danica. My prayers are with you all. God Bless

We attend a home church where Randy Hiatt is a leader, and he brought this prayer request to our attention at Mike's passing. Our prayers are with Laken and the family, and we pray especially that Laken will be sustained and comforted and protected by our Lord in very special ways, all of her life. Praying for her comfort, and for her spiritual growth as He gets her through this very difficult time. Praying this verse for her: "Show me Your ways, Oh Lord, and teach me your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation, and on You I wait all the day." -- Psalm 25: 4-5.
Love and prayers,

I met Mike through his wife, Danica. She was employed at South Carolina Yutaka Technologies. I am employed at the Ohio facility, Cardington Yutaka Technologies. When Danica was in her final days I made the decision to say goodbye to her while she was still living. It was then I finally met Mike and Laken. Danica had such a wonderful tone in her voice whenever she spoke of either. Nine weeks ago I lost my son in a tragic car accident. I am still in denial as I am sure Mike was with Danica. I wish I could make things so much better for Laken. I worry how she will find her way with so much loss in such a short time. But Mike and Danica truly put their faith in a higher power, and I have to trust that that belief will give Laken strength and guidance.
Your families will remain in my thoughts and prayers.

Saying I am sorry for your loss just does not seem to be enough. I can not imagine the pain that you are all feeling right now. Getting to know Mike and Danicia was an honor for me. Danicia was a special girl and Mike was a wonderful, special man. He will be missed by our office because he always came by to see us to give us an update on how him and Laken were doing. He always lit up the room. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help. My thoughts and prayers are with you all and most especially with Laken. God bless and know that He will hold you all throughout this difficult time. Sincerely, Sherry Branham at Hospice Care of Tri-County

Although I had only known Mike for some 6 months or so, I feel that my life has been made better because of him. In our many conversations, we talked about faith, trials, tribulations, and just life in general. He was a fine man, and I am truly honored and blessed to have known him. He was very obviously a person of genuine holiness, virtue, and lived his life as a born-again believer. I will miss him, his wit, his infectious smile, and his friendship. God bless you Mike, and thanks for being a part of my life.
Your friend,
Charles

I came to know Michael and Danica last year while I was still working at the Camden hospital while Danica was there..I had to take care of her, I was a CNA, she was a sweet person and wanted everybody she talked to, to know the Lord..Mike was the same way, he was the sweetest thing, and he told us the news right before she passed away that the doctors had given him 6 months to a year to live with his cancer. But he beat the odds of that...but God took him tragically in the accident...I'm sorry to hear about that. He was a good man and father. I'm so thankful I got to meet both of them!!!
I know the Lord will watch over and guide ya'll in the coming days, months and years, esp. as ya'll take care of Laken. I will be praying for ya'll and thinking about ya'll.
With Love,
marcie
