CAMDEN - Funeral service for Ruth Virginia Cobb Branham, 76, will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Jack Cobb will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Mrs. Branham, wife of the late Lavern Branham, died Tuesday, June 1, 2010. Born in Kershaw County, she was a daughter of the late Clemson C. Cobb and Virginia Grace Brannon Cobb. She was a member of Mt. Hebron Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving are her son, Larry “Skinner” Branham and his wife, Lucy of Camden; daughter, Diane Pettis of Camden; brothers, Ted (Barbara) Cobb of Camden, Ralph (Doris) Cobb of Camden, Roy (Diane) Cobb of Camden, Bernie (Katie) Cobb of Camden, and Dennis (Linda) Cobb Camden; grandchildren, Chris R. Branham and Jamie Petticord; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Catherine Vincent; and son-in-law, Buck Pettis.
