ELGIN – Funeral services for Delores Fern Galloway Gay, 74, will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Hillcrest Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Earl Brazell will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made St. Jude Children Hospital. Mrs. Gay, wife of the late Sam Mouzon, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013. Born in Williamsburg County, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Avis Smith Galloway. Mrs. Gay enjoyed watching TV, especially wrestling. Surviving are her daughter, Patricia Brazell (Mike) of Elgin; son, Sam Mouzon of Elgin; siblings, Meddie Mullis of Stuart, FL, Jennifer Mobley, Wanda Blakley, Samuel Mobley (Velma), Janella Ard (Alvin), Charles Mobley, Alicia Ogle (Ron), and Daniel Mobley; 2 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband; biological parents; adoptive parents, Sam Joe and Vivian Smith Mobley; siblings, Audrey Halliwell, W.C. Galloway, and Wade Cantley.
