CAMDEN - A memorial service for George Calvin Lemons, 81, will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral home. Rev. Jimmy Atkerson will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday 10:00 -11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1643 McRae Road, Camden, S.C. 29020. Mr. Lemons died Tuesday, July 20, 2010. Born in Cleveland, Tenn., he was a son of the late George Dewey and Della Menerva Kendall Lemons. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Martha Janette Walsh Lemons; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Lala Lemons of Gastonia, N.C., and Tracy and Jackie Lemons of Seneca, S.C.; brother, Dewey Lemons of Greenville, S.C.; and grandchildren, Greg Lemons and his wife, Laura of Charlotte, N.C., and Katrina Wade and her husband, D.J. of Cramerton, N.C.
