WEST COLUMBIA - Funeral service for Roger Dale “R.D.” O’Cain, Jr., 40, will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Disher Cemetery, 1255 Chestnut Road, Elgin, S.C. 29045. Rev. Paul Miles and Rev. George Cashwell will officiate. Serving as active pallbearers will be Chris Lloyd, Will Ripley, Wayne DeWitt, Jr., Arthur Bentley, Mike Brown, and Todd O’Cain. Honorary Pallbearer will be Chad Sloan. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. O’Cain died Tuesday, July 27, 2010. Born in Ft. Jackson, S.C., he was a son of Roger Dale O’Cain, Sr. and Norris J. Livingston O’Cain. Surviving are his parents of West Columbia; sons, Dillon O’Cain of Alabama, and Roger Dale “Tripp” O’Cain, III of Elgin; daughter, Ashley Renee O’Cain of Elgin; and brother, Christopher Dale O’Cain.
