CAMDEN – Funeral Mass for George Stephen Saho, 78, will be celebrated on Friday at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Father Francis Travis will officiate. Farewell Prayers and Final Commendation will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to SECU Family Center, 1970 Balwin Lane, Winston-Salem, N.C. 27103. Mr. Saho died Saturday, June 8, 2013. Born in Wolfehurst, Ohio, he was the son of the late George Frank and Ann Yoka Saho. He served in the United States Army in the 82nd Airborne. He retired from Praxair and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, astronomy and relaxing at his summer retreat. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Louise Childress Saho; children, Deborah Saho (Phillip Loughlin) of Union City, Calif., George Michael “Mike” Saho of San Francisco, Calif., and Martha Dunn (Michael John) of Camden, S.C.; sister, Shirley Kaczor (Ed); brother, Ronald Saho (Bertha); grandchildren, Miriam “Mim” Loughlin and Tucker Dunn; and his dog, “Dusty”. He was predeceased by a son, Randy Saho.
