LUGOFF- Funeral services for Frank James Rabon Jr., 64, will be held Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 3:00 PM at El-Bethel Faith Community Church, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Hardshell Cemetery. Rev. Joe Stines, Rev. Richard Cameron and Rev. Doug Whitfield will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to El-Bethel Faith Community Church, 905 Longtown Road, Lugoff, S.C. 29078. Mr. Rabon died Thursday, November 4, 2010. Born in Lugoff, he was the son of the late Frank James and Nellie Branham Rabon. He was the owner and operator of F.J. Rabon, Jr. Construction for 36 years. He was a member of Possum Breeders, and Home Builders Association and loved racing cars, boats, and motorcycles, and was an avid Hunter and Fisherman. He was a member of El-Bethel Faith Community Church. Surviving are his son, Benjamin James Rabon (Ashleigh) of Lugoff; daughters, Brandy Rabon Hudson (Brandon) of Lugoff, and Whitney Jean Edwards (Daniel) of Fayetteville, N.C.; grandchildren, Katherine “Kat” Rabon, Will Rabon, Jake Rabon, and Jack Ryan Hudson; sisters, Katie Pate of Lugoff, and Sandra Hall (Bruce) of Lugoff; and his cocker spaniel, “Harley”. He was predeceased by his sister, Leila McKenzie.
