CASSATT – Funeral service for Michael Joseph “Mike” Hunter, 48, will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Beaverdam Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Steve Leigh will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Mr. Hunter died Tuesday, January 11, 2011. Born in Jacksonville, Fla., he was a son of Donald W. and Mozelle Williams Hunter. He enjoyed riding motorcycles. Surviving are his wife of 24 years, Carol Ann Hall Hunter; son, Michael Gabriel McCord Hunter of the home; parents of Lugoff; sister, Patricia Semmler; and brothers, Leonard McCord and Wesley McCord.
