CAMDEN – Service for Norton Edward Long, 82, will be private. Mr. Long died Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Thomas A. Long Sr. and Esther Kelly Long. He retired as a life insurance agent in Michigan in 1983 and moved to South Carolina where he met his second wife Ophelia who passed away in 2010. He always hated snow and couldn’t wait to move south. Surviving are his children, Patti Powers (Bob) of Michigan, Mark Long (Lisa Drake) of Florida, and Diane Roe (Mike) of Tennessee; grandchildren, Laura Sheldon (Jesse), Adam Powers (Ashley), Haley Long, Alex Long, Kevin Roe (Mandy), and Kellie Cole (Justin); and great-grandchildren, Collin Sheldon, Melina Sheldon and Andrew Roe.
