LUGOFF – Marian “Susie” Landon, 94, died Thursday, August 4, 2011. Born December 20, 1916 in Trenton, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Emmett and Margaret Lange Scott. She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Holderness of Lugoff, S.C.; son, David Landon of Charlotte, N.C., granddaughters, Vicki McKendrick of Lake Wateree and Kristin Baxter of Pensacola, Fla.; and 7 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased, by her husband of 55 years, Frank Landon; and sons, Richard Landon and Kenneth Landon. Susie was a fun loving lady and was adored by all who knew her. She was outgoing an loved life, her doggies and wrote beautiful poems. The family wants to thank Springdale Nursing Home and their staff for all their loving care during her 3 years there. Also, a very special thank you to the angels of Gentiva Hospice, Annette Inman, Tarsha Jones and Nan Loadholt, who provided her with extraordinary love and care. A memorial service will be held at a later date and burial will be in Alexandria Va. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter.
