ELGIN – A celebration of life service for Mary Louise FitzGerald, 81, will be held Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The Rev. David Stratford will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation. Mrs. FitzGerald died Friday, September 9, 2011. Born in Glendale, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Harold and Elva Burt Cady. Surviving are her husband of 47 years, H. Clair FitzGerald; sons, Jerry Wolff (Dawn) of Beaufort, N.C., David Wolff of Grand Junction, Colo., Tom Wolff (Carol) of Souderton, Pa., and Marianne F. Stephans (Kevins) of Lugoff; brother, Phillip Cady of Rochester, N.Y.; sister, Ruth Thomas (James) of Greenville, Tenn.; 8 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, Harold Cady and Robert Cady; and sisters, Greta Tyra and Dorothy Vrooman.
