Obituary of Hazel M Stokes
BISHOPVILLE - Service for Hazel Mooney Stokes, 70, will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to Antioch Baptist Church.
Mrs. Stokes, wife of the late, Bobby Stokes, died Sunday, August 26, 2007. Born in Barnwell County, she was a daughter of the late Mike and Hattie Fennel Mooney. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Joy Stokes of Bishopville; daughter, Debra Stokes and her companion, Bobby Winford of Inman, S.C.; sisters, Nell Garner and her husband, Bill of Palacios, Texas, Lucille Woodward of New Baltimore, Va., and Betty Samaniego and her husband, Sam of Pima, Ariz; grandson, Jeremiah Stokes; sisters-in-law, Linda Dillingham and her husband, Norman, Evelyn McCaskill and her husband Bobby, Iris Latham and her husband, Bob, Joyce Spencer and her husband Ray, Marion McGill and her husband, Warren, and Marlene Dees and her husband Randy; brother-in-law, Kenny Stokes and his wife, Angela; and special friend, Frances Gable.
