CAMDEN, S.C. – A memorial service for Josephine Ruth Bailey, 81, will be held Monday at 3:00 p.m. at Wise Drive Nazarene Church, Sumter. The Rev. Sammy E. Geddings will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Mrs. Bailey died Friday, September 23, 2011. Born in Summit, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Concetta Auragema DeStefano. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Floral City, Fla., where she enjoyed working with the Food Bank, Crisis Closet, and helping the homeless. Surviving are her sons, Donald Joseph Bailey of Middlebury, Conn., Robert James Bailey of Seattle, Wash., Kenneth Wayne Bailey (Birgitta Lynn) of Sumter, and Joseph Nelson Bailey (Elizabeth) of Edison, N.J.; daughter, Nancy Bailey Mironov Ziegler (Brian) of Middlebury, Conn.; former husband, Justin Bailey of Floral City, Fla.; sister, Louise Delph of East Orange, N.J.; grandchildren, Deanna Hawthorne, Lauren Bailey, Alyshia Bailey, and Max Mironov; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by grandson, Jesse James Marshall; sisters, Murphy Longo, Stephi DeStefano, and Carmalinda DeStefano.
