LUGOFF – A celebration of life service for Betty C. Washington, 77, will be held Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Washington died Sunday, October 2, 2011. Born in Winter Haven, Fla., she was the daughter of Mable Bush. Surviving are her husband, George Washington; step-sons, Calvin Washington, Joseph Washington and George Washington, Jr.; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a step-son, Randy T. Washington.
