Obituary of James Clarence Hall
CAMDEN – Funeral Service for James Clarence Hall, 87, will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Joe Stines will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter, 460 Fair Street, Camden, S.C. 29020.
Mr. Hall died Saturday, October 8, 2011. Born in Lee County, he was a son of the late Robert “Little Bob” and Roberta Elmore Hall. He retired from Hermitage Cotton Mill.
Mr. Hall was a member of First Baptist Church of Camden and enjoyed gardening, woodworking and his pet bulldogs.
Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Margaret Brown Hall; sons, James Hall (Linda) of Lugoff, Billy Hall (Trudy) of Lugoff, Bennie Hall (Irene) of Camden, Ronny Hall (Linda) of Camden and Bobby Hall of Lugoff; daughter, Linda Ellis (Sidney) of Camden; son-in-law, Charles Small of Columbia; brother, Don C. Hall of Kershaw; sister, Bernice Melton of Hartsville; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandson. He was predeceased by a daughter, Peggy Hall Small; brother, George Hall; sister, Jessie Melton; and grandchildren, Jason Hall and Wendy Lynn Hall.
