LUGOFF - Funeral services for Willie Hampton Jr., 66, will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthews Baptist Church, Lugoff, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Thurmond Williams will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Mr. Hampton died Saturday, November 19, 2011. Born in Camden, S.C., he was the son of the late Willie Sr. and Eva Mae Tucker Hampton. Surviving are his wife, Carrie Belle Tucker Hampton; son, Willie Julius Hampton of Lugoff; sister, Ruth Barnes; and brothers, Charlie Hampton and Robert Hampton; He was predeceased by his brother, Simon Hampton.
