CAMDEN – Funeral service for Matthew Brian Small Sr., 23, will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The Rev. Nathaniel “Nat” Brown will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Brian died Sunday, November 20, 2011. Born in Camden, he was the son of Billy Ray Small Jr. and Cynthia Tracy Joyner Small. He was the owner and operator of Ray’s Fencing. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was an avid gamecock fan. Surviving are his wife, Samantha Ann Huff Small; parents of Camden; son, Matthew Brian Small Jr.; sisters, Renee Anderson (Mark), Tracy S. Price (Jay), and Bridgett Small; grandfather, John Virgil Joyner; favorite aunt, Sheila Tidwell; and nieces and nephews, Justin Anderson, Brook Anderson, Amber Madison, Drew Price, Cole Small, and Briley Ray. He was predeceased by maternal grandmother, Grace Joyner; and paternal grandparent, Billy Ray Small Sr. and Sylvia Ann Small.
