LUGOFF – Funeral service for Joe Thomas “Tommy” Taylor, 39, will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at Powers Funeral Home. Mr. Taylor died Wednesday, November 23, 2011. Born in Carter County, Tenn., he was the son of Barbara Ann Shipley Rasberry and Thomas Earl Rasberry. He enjoyed basketball and bowling. Surviving are his mother and step-father, Barbara Ann Shipley Rasberry and Thomas Earl Rasberry; daughters, Summer Taylor Rasberry of Lugoff and Barbara Jean Taylor of Waverly, Va.; brother, Michael Taylor; sisters, Rebecca Bachert and Susan Collett; aunts and uncles, Margaret and Vernon Pike, Benny and Ethel Shipley, Janie Brown, and Dwight Rasberry; nephews, Charles Carr and Trevor Wood; nieces, Melissa Bauchert and Breanna Bauchert; and cousins, Carmen Shrader, Johnny Shipley, Gene Pike, and Carl Kelly.
