Obituary of Norma B. Barfield
LUGOFF – Funeral service for Norma Thelma Branham Barfield, 90, will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Springvale Baptist Church with burial to follow in Lugoff First Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Todd Horton, the Rev. Doug Whitfield, and the Rev. Dr. Angela Jennings will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral home. Memorials may be made to Springvale Baptist Church Building Fund, 1496 Springvale Road, Lugoff, S.C. 29078.
Mrs. Barfield, wife of the late Claude Wesley Barfield, died Friday, November 25, 2011. Born in Ridgeway, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Ben Tillman Branham Sr. and Edna Easler Branham. She retired from Skyline Manufacturing. She enjoyed sewing and music and was a member of Springvale Baptist Church and the Senior Adult Ladies Sunday School Class.
Surviving are her daughters, Claudette B. Moseley of Blythewood, Loree B. Paschal of Lugoff, and Dora B. Hunter (Sammie) of Lugoff; brother, Fay D. Branham of Ridgeway; sisters, Marguerite Dinkins of Ridgeway and Mabel Wilson of St. Augustine, Fla.; grandchildren, Jerome Moseley (Anita), Jill Moseley, Kevin Paschal (Kim), Pamela Nichols (Tommy), Carole Platt, Theresa Williams (Mark), Staci Barfield, Shari Barfield-Newman (Curtis), and William Barfield; and great-grandchildren, Steven, Elizabeth, David, Morgan, Samantha, Hannah, Matthew, Jay, Xandra, Spencer, and Jared. She was predeceased by son, Edward T. “Sonny” Barfield; brothers, Harry Branham, Charles Branham and Ben T. Branham Jr.; and sisters, Dessie Catlett and Jeanette Peake.
