CASSATT – Funeral service for Michael J. Gaskins, 49, will be held Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at Cassatt Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Gene Stokes will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Gaskins, husband of the late Belinda Gail Gaskins, died Friday, December 23, 2011. Born in Hartsville, he was a son of Bobby and Elizabeth Brown Gaskins. He was the owner of Mama’s Kitchen in Bethune. He enjoyed hunting, riding motor cycles and four wheelers with his daughters. Surviving are his daughters, Casey Gaskins and Abigail “Abby” Gaskins of Cassatt; his parents of McBee; and sisters, Wanda Gaskins of McBee and Lisa Hicks and her husband, John of McBee.
