CAMDEN – A private service for William C. Hasty, 93, will be held in Fort Jackson National Cemetery, Columbia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Glenforest School, 1041 Harbor Drive, West Columbia, S.C. 29169. Mr. Hasty passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2012. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Clayton and Helen Hasty. Formally of Columbia, he was predeceased by his wives, Margaret Bolton Hasty of Columbia, and Clarissa Reynolds Young Hasty of Bishopville. Surviving are his sons, William Donnie Hasty of Swansea, and Richard W. Hasty (Becky Wilson) of Columbia; daughters, Brenda Murphy (Pat) of Lumberton, N.C. and Karen Calvert (Barton) of Gilbert; and six grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
