LUGOFF – Services for Colleen Elizabeth Berger, 73, will be private. Memorials may be made to the DAV or VFW. Mrs. Berger died Friday, January 27, 2012. Born in Woodruff, she was the daughter of the late William Dallas and Letha Geneva Matthews Hix. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and reading. Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Richard Darrell Berger; daughters, Missy Payne (Kimball) of Conway, Judy Buford (James Smith) of Lugoff, and Theresa Berger (Sam Majors Jr.) of Lugoff; brother, Jeff Hix (Roberta); 8 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
