ELGIN – The family of Darlene Eve Alderman, 56, will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Graveside service will be private. Ms. Alderman died Friday, February 24, 2012. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of Wilford E. Alderman and the late Betty Shannon Alderman. She was an outstanding cook like her mother. Surviving are her father, W.E. Alderman of Elgin; son, Troy Coker of Gaston; brothers, Michael E. Alderman (Dana) of Elgin and Timothy D. Alderman (Pam) of Elgin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
