LUGOFF – A Graveside service for Mildred Ellen Cherry, 87, will be held Saturday at 12:00 p.m. in Royal Pines Cemetery, Winnsboro, S.C. The Rev. Donald Goude will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Worship Center Benevolent Fund, P.O. Box 581, Camden, 29021. Ms. Cherry passed away Thursday, August 01, 2013. Born in Winnsboro, she was the daughter of the late James Samuel and Lessie Gunter Cherry. She was a member of Gordon Memorial United Methodist Church. Ms. Cherry enjoyed reading, gardening, and was an avid animal lover. Surviving are her brothers, Jim Cherry (Maude), Kenneth Cherry, Larry Cherry (Eldis); and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers; Teddy Cherry, and P.A. Cherry.
