Obituary of Thomas Albert Bradley
THOMAS ALBERT BRADLEY III
CAMDEN – Thomas Albert “Tab” Bradley, III, 54 passed away on Friday, March 9, 2012, following a long battle with kidney disease. Born on November 16, 1957 in Camden, S.C., he was the son of the late Albert and Vermelle Rush Bradley of Camden.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Cindy Hammons Bradley; sisters, Marcelle B. Fortner (Roger) of Elgin and Tracey B. Krawczyk (Jim) of Houston, Texas; nephews, Wade Tosh (Chris) of Camden, and Kyle Tosh of Louisville, Ky.; great nephew, Rocky Tosh; and a great-niece, Johanna Marie Tosh of Camden.
Tab was a sweet and caring person. To know him was to love him. He demonstrated this caring for his fellow man by volunteering at the Kershaw County Memorial Hospital where he worked in the Emergency Room for ten years.
Tab’s real passion in life was music. At an early age he proved that he was gifted by God to be able to play the organ and drums by ear. As a teenager, Tab started a record collection that filled his room which became a real bonus for him when he was offered a job at the Camden WPUB Radio Station. He hosted the Retro 70’s Saturday night program which show cased music from the 70’s. He also hosted the Sunday Night Hit Parade which featured music from the 1950’s to the 1980’s.
Tab truly enjoyed his job. It didn’t take long for him to adopt is radio co-workers as his second family so much so that Tab and Cindy where married at the radio station on June 10, 2005. Tab retired from WPUB in 2005 when his health began to decline, but his relationship with his co-workers never stopped. Their love, kindness, and support continued until his death. Our family will never be able to thank Chris Johnson, Phil Rogers, and Dawn Teller enough for all the tender loving care they extended to Tab and Cindy during his illness.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter in Tab’s Memory.
