CASSATT – Graveside service for Helen R. Owens, 72, will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Wateree Baptist Church Cemetery, Camden. The Rev. Steve Leigh, the Rev. Homer Hinson and the Rev. Bobby James Jr. will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to Beaverdam Baptist Church. Mrs. Owens died Wednesday, April 04, 2012. Born in Cassatt, she was the daughter of the late Clyde N. Robinson and Docia McClain Robinson. She retired from Mulberry Plantation and enjoyed gardening, dancing, and cooking. Surviving are her daughter, Jamie Owens (Keith Bristow); sisters, Sara Holden and Alicia Ellis; special friend, Murray Geddings; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Clifford Robinson, Willard Robinson, and Ken Robinson; and sisters, Doris Poole and Laurine Smothers.
